What do I put on my resume??
I’m one of the career experts quoted in this snarky piece about whether or not to write on your resume and/or LinkedIn, that you’re proficient in MS Word:http://time.com/money/5233688/resume-tips-2018-skills-microsoft-office/
But as a friend of mine smartly mentioned, when you apply online, the recipient will be able to gauge your computer system and how state-of-the-art it is…or isn’t. So yes, the future is terrifying, but also, update your computer and be patient with yourself: writing a resume is very hard. It’s hard to look at your past, and not start beating yourself up. It’s hard not to be disappointed in your resume, i.e. yourself. I understand.
But if you’re working on a resume, hey mazel tov! That took a lot of courage. Take a deep breath and apply for the job in front of you. Let the past go, the future’s what you need to be thinking about now! (*bursts into song*)
