Back to School

September 1, 2015 Uncategorized 0

Wasn’t the Fourth of July just, like, last week? How exactly is it September 1, 2015?? I’m not one of those adults who walk around wishing they could be a kid again–yeah, I really want to experience the joy of junior high gym, allllll over again–but what I do miss from childhood, is the sense that a year lasts forever. When I was a kid, six months was an eternity. Now, as an adult—or whatever it is I am nowadays– the time simply races by. Soon, I’m going to start my day reading the obit section of Facebook, and complaining about the weather. I already find myself listening to the radio and thinking,”…This isn’t rap, what the hell?! When I was a kid, we had some damn good music.”

The countdown to my Rascal Scooter begins. But, enough venting.

It’s September 1, 2015, the young people are going back to school, and for everyone else who is ready to achieve their goals, you’re welcome, America, since for this month only, I’m offering a Back to School Special: two one-hour sessions  for $199.00.  Some of you are thinking, “Two hours? Carlota, is that sufficient for all the nagging I require?” Listen, I don’t tell you how to do your job…oh, wait, that’s all I do! Bad example, but you get my point.

These packages are, in my humble opinion, best for people who have some specific goal—applying for a certain job; getting a head start on crafting their social media presence; organizing their network; interview prep; constructing long-term career development strategy–and want personalized, focused help. I’ve already sold three of these packages to people who desired directed assistance to bring their high-stakes goals to life.

I created this deal because, in my experience, September is traditionally the time when many of us feel pressured inspired to return to school, get a better job, and change our lives. With this inspiration comes a heaping portion of fear and loathing. It’s easy to say, ‘casually,’ over the summer, “Yeah, no joke, this September, I have to get a better job; this bullsh*t is ridiculous,” and suddenly, whoa, it’s September, and just the thought of your LinkedIn profile makes you want to vomit, weep and drink. All at the same time.  I’ve been there, Kid.

You’ve got ambitions, I’ve got ideas: let’s get to work!  Shoot me an email, carlotazee@gmail.com, or leave me your manifetso in the comments, and  it begins.
