“And if I cried two tears for her/ that would be the most that I would give to her…”- DJ Khaled

Making important changes in your life is pretty much only fun when it’s safely over. Otherwise, it’s a whirlwind  of drama, binge-eating, crying, fear, insecurity, self-pity, whining, binge-drinking, more whining, waking up at 3am wondering what the hell is wrong with you…ahh, good times! Yup, when I’m heavily medicated, I really enjoy thinking back on those years of hell.

If you’re in the midst of your own transition, hold on tight, you can do it. I promise. How do I know? I’m still here, aren’t I? So much so, that New York Magazine‘s The Cut included my rant comeback story in their piece 8 Women on Making a Career Change

Who knew all that failure would be instrumental to saving my own life?
