Female Trouble
If you’re a woman*, and an artist–however you define that term; it’s your art, make the nomenclature work for you, Kid–and you know you should be using social media to sell more, but you don’t understand what to do, or even how to get started…or if you see other people on-line getting great opportunities and you’re not, and you don’t understand what they’re doing…or if you’re so sickened by even the idea of selling, that you can’t even begin to get the opportunities you know your art deserves…I’m holding a social media workshop for women artists on October 18th, 2014: COME. ON. DOWN!
The workshop will cover everything from how to get started, to whether or not you website, and how you make that decision; from using Google+ to promote yourself, to networking on-line, to, crucially, using social media to develop your artistic voice, and create the opportunities your art and ambitions demand.
*(I do indeed love men, but this particular workshop is womyn-only, so that people feel free to ask so-called “stupid” questions. Depending on how it goes, I do indeed plan to hold some workshops just for men, so don’t feel all outraged, OUTRAGED. Don’t start frothing at the mouth, and emailing me that I’m a crazy bitch, who hates men because you’d be wrong. Simma down. I think men are awesome, and not just when they laugh at my jokes, or agree how morally indefensible it was that I never got a pony.)
