Location, Location, Location

Location, Location, Location

December 11, 2013 Uncategorized 0

Ugh, you’re totally right, I haven’t been blogging as often as I need to. Clearly, like many of my scorned ex-boyfriends mutter darkly, amidst the tears, I am a bad person. Actually, I’ve been writing a ton for other websites, and planning big upcoming projects for 2014, so cut me some slack. Also, I’m writing this from home, slathered in Vicks Vapor Rub, congested to the nth degree, feeling like lukewarm death AKA the epitome of sexiness. So if you’re fiending for daily change-up-your-life content from me, you should already be a fan of my Facebook page, “Carlotaworldwide Creativity Yenta,” for all of that useful, proactive, snarky goodness.

But as my cold meds kick in, and things clear up a bit, I did want to remind you all of the truth of that old maxim about life being all about location. (Yes, I know that’s not exactly how it goes. Use the Googles. I’m sick. I’m seriously at the point of wondering if I give the cats my debit card and $10.00 will they run errands for me. Short answer: I probably wouldn’t see them till they drained the accounts and spent all the cash.)  Anyways.

Our outward location is based on where our heads are. So if you’re feeling stuck in a job/relationship/stage of life, especially if it’s something that outwardly would seem to make you the luckiest boy or girl on the planet, it’s up to you to relocate yourself and get the distance necessary so you can see the big picture and make whatever changes are necessary. For me personally, I’ve had to distance myself from bad habits, bad friendships, and other things that were taking up my time and energy and keeping me trapped in old ways of thinking. I had to relocate within my mind so I could relocate in my life. But that’s fine. Me personally, I’d rather be comfortable with who I am and my (difficult) choices,  than be one of those people always running from themselves. You know, like those people bragging on social media about all the trips they take, but who still choose, 5 days a week, 45-odd weeks a year, to take a trip to work, to a life they don’t enjoy, a life that doesn’t satisfy their needs in any real sense. That seems a little pointless to me. And hopefully, if you’re reading this, to you. You also want something worthy of your best. Time to move.

Want some help relocating? I’ll bet you do. Email me at carlotazee@gmail.com, and become a fan of my Facebook page, “Carlotaworldwide Creativity Yenta,” for a free consultation! And then, eventually, send me some postcards from your best journeys…
