The Wellesley News

My birthday was this past Saturday, April 30th, and my alma mater, Wellesley College, really spoiled me with this glorious gift of an interview. Fun fact: the conversation that led to this piece, lasted for about 3 hours. The writer kept apologizing for how long it was taking, till I finally said, ‘Honey, you don’t know me, but if you did, you’d know that you have nothing to apologize for. Trust me: talking about myself is one of my very favorite things. ‘ I think she thought I was kidding, but no. False modesty is so tedious, no?

Anyway, like any entrepreneur, I started this business with more doubts, and fears then any hope of certainties, so in my deepest core, it means something when Wellesley–a place that played a tremendous role in my becoming, for better or worse, the Yenta I am today–notices what I’m doing and gives me this generous recognition.  I’m a lucky girl, and the harder I work, the luckier I get!
