Blood, sweat and vampires

And now, my friends, I’m sitting at home, covered in cat-hair, and pretty damn speechless. A total shock-and-awe moment as I attempt to process the fact that Anne Rice has read my writing, and she liked it enough to share, on her Facebook page, as worthwhile. Baroo?
And then I think that it’s taken the past 7 years of blood, sweat, whining, tears and toil to get to this point…and how sweet it is.
I hope other people who are brooding about writing, who desperately want to write, but keep talking themselves out of doing something that is crucial to the deepest parts of themselves….I hope they realize that I wrote this piece for myself, and it took on a life of its own. Just like your own writing will. Worry less, WRITE MORE! You know what to do: get to work!
