Life, taxes and podcasting…and the circle is complete!
It’s Tax Day in North America–I did my taxes recently, and was almost amused when TurboTax basically asked me if I wanted their software to baby-step me through the process, since of course my answer was, “Hell yes, I was a history major, I need all the help I can get!” When it comes to the train-wreck that is doing my taxes, trust me, TurboTax, you cannot patronize me, or hold my hand, enough. Condesend to me as much as you wish, as long as it ends in me getting some kind of, ANY kind of, refund. Patronize me all the way to the bank! Meanwhile, if you’d rather not dwell on the the thought of your taxes, well, this past Monday, Marie Segares and I were unable to do our monthly No Frills Small Business podcast so, guess what? We’re going to give it another try on April 27, 2015!
Yes, the podcast is so nice we had to try it at least twice. Or, maybe we’re just professional like that.
Anyway, if you’ve got conferences on your mind and your schedule, but you’re also an introvert and the thought of all that networking makes you want to dry heave…or if you’re an extrovert, looking for more success-building hints…or, if you’re just bored by everyone you know on-line and want some free infotainment…come on down! Marie will give you those networking-for-over-achievers hints, and I’ll have suggestions for the rest of us (i.e. those of us who go to conferences to hit the open bar, and schmooze and then realize that dammit, we’re here, we spent a lot of money, we might as well leave the bar area at least once, and meet even one person if just to justify the trip for tax purposes…and the circle is complete. #SeeWhatIDidThere #boom
